I’m so excited because I get to release the cover for The Silver Scar today. I’ve been sitting on it for some months because the publication date was pushed out. Right now I’m in the middle of copy edits and also the book is with some amazing first readers, all authors I really admire. Soon it will go to reviewers. It drops October 2, 2018
EEK! Excited! Nervous! Much Nervous!
The artwork was done by the incredibly talented Hugo nominated Chris McGrath who has done art for some of my favorite writers and books. Check him out on Twitter.
It shows Boulder, 150 years from now: walled, run by the Christian Church, and policed by archwardens, one of whom is about to face a crisis of faith, family, life, and love. There’s Folsom Field where I spend my Saturdays each fall watching football, re-envisioned into a prison. The Flatirons in the distance. The altitude, because Colorado will never stop listing the altitude of her cities no matter how dire things get.
You can read more about the book here.
I can’t tell you how excited I am about this cover and book! I hope you all love the cover as much as I do.
