I have a blog post up at my friend Rae’s A New Look On Books reflecting* on the importance of mirrors to my writing, stories, and well, really, everybody.
*see what I did there?
I’m pretty quiet because I’m writing a new book. Not ready to say more than I have a title, characters, and it’s secondary world fantasy with a sort of magic I don’t think I’ve ever seen before. I’m also doing something a bit different in that I’m keeping track of daily wordcounts in my Filofax. Nothing in writing is more boring than word counts (okay, maybe copy edits) so enough said.
I’m also absorbed in reading THE THREE NOVELS OF TEMERAIRE and why did no one ever tell me about these books before? Dragons in the Napoleonic War??? Count me in, though who knew I liked dragons? Though, seriously I’ve got no excuse because I’ve met Naomi and even been on a panel with her.
Speaking of panels I’ll be at WhimseyCon in March, so look for my schedule on the website (click my name) or for more info on the Tour page or on @SSAS when the time draws near. My friend Roberto Calas is the GOH so it’ll be fun besides. Hm. I’d better get that hotel room lined up.
